Payments
At the end of your appointment, we will submit your claim electronically to your insurance company as long your plan allows electronic communication. Payment is due by you, in full, the day of your appointment by either credit card, Interac or cash. If you choose to pay with a credit card you can also collect your rewards points. If you have signed up for direct deposit with your insurance company you should generally receive your reimbursement within 24 - 48 hours.
The Ontario Dental Association is encouraging offices to move away from the practice of accepting insurance payments. For more information on the Ontario Dental Association recommendations, please go to www.youroralhealth.ca/you-your-dentist/dental-benefits-explained91
Insurance Coverage
Due to constantly changing privacy policies, dental offices are prevented from contacting your insurance company to get your plan details. Please contact your Human Resources Department or reference your plan handbook for your coverage details. We can always help you get the information about your treatment coverage by sending a Predetermination to your insurance company for any treatment required. These responses are sent to the plan member by either mail or email, depending on your choice of communication. They do not come to the dental office. If you have questions regarding the response you receive, we can help you understand it better by setting up an appointment with our treatment coordinator.
